If you’ve been following our journey, you may have seen the odd photo or sneak peek of what we’re confident is the most private dining room in Brisbane, the Cellar. We adore this space and we think you will too, so we thought today we’d take you on a visual journey of the room.
The Cellar is concealed behind a rotating bookcase, giving it a secretive feel worthy of any Agatha Christie novel! To reach the Cellar, you’ll first need to walk through our characterful, prohibition-inspired wine bar. Amongst old chesterfields, antiques and some of the best wine in Brisbane, you’ll spot an old bookcase at the far end of the bar.
Behind this unassuming, old world bookcase, you’ll find our low-lit, warm and cosy room, with the centrepiece being a five metre long table (so big it had to be built in the space!) made from long single lengths of Australian native wood, reclaimed from antique floorboards. Surrounding the table are 18 plush, vintage Chesterfield chairs giving the room a gentlemanly, almost Victorian feel.
Within this one of a kind room, we’ve hosted all sorts of events – from whisky and cigar tastings, wine tastings, food and drink degustations, private corporate dinners, meetings, lunches, through to intimate special occasions – engagement parties, wedding breakfasts, birthdays… you name it.
We’ve partnered with Wine & Dine’m, one of Brisbane’s premier full-service caterers who deliver extraordinary events for their clients. Together, we’ve created three menus perfect for any kind of event.
1: Shared Dining
Pick two mains and three sides to share amongst yourselves, keeping your event relaxed and informal. From seared pork loin to lemon crusted cod along with delectable sides like balsamic carrots and broccolini with black sesame. Discover the menu here.
2: Sit Down Menu
If you’re looking for something a bit more formal, try our sit down menu. Along with artisan bread and butter rounds, choose from a selection of entree, main and dessert options such as duck breast and vanilla parsnip mousse, seared scallops, pan fried barramundi and much more. Our piece de resistance! This seven course degustation takes you on a flavour journey of the best fresh produce, that can be matched with a wine selection chosen by our sommelier that will heighten each dish in a beautiful pairing.
